South African Rapper, AKA Reacts To Burna Boy’s Grammy Loss

South African rapper, AKA has reacted to Burna Boy losing a Grammy Award to veteran singer, Angelique Kidjo.

The rapper and Burna had a clash on social media a few months ago after he made some insensitive remarks about the Xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa. As a result of the clash, both artistes declared war on each other and ended their long-time friendship.

In reaction to Burna losing the Grammy award, AKA took to Twitter to reveal that he never hated the singer and went on to call him a champion despite not winning.

He wrote, “I never hated Burna Boy. All I did was stand up for my country. I think it’s time to move past this narrative. It’s tired. Like I said, even a nomination is a huge achievement. What you should have done is focus on the positive instead of thinking about me and my country. In any case, Burna is still a champion. We still consider him a winner.”
