Police officers clash with commercial motorcyclists rises tensions in Idi-Araba, Lagos State following the recently imposed Okada ban.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had imposed a ban on the operations of Okada riders in six Local Government Areas of Lagos state after a group of riders burnt to death a man identified as David Imoh over N100M.
The ban which was scheduled to commence on June 1 didn’t witness effective compliance as the police had to effect it by force by seizing several motorcycles.
Unfortunately, in a bid to enforce the ban at Idi-Araba, some Okada riders revolted which created unrest in the environs.
In some clips, violent clashes between police officers and the Okada riders could be seen.
